Club OMA: Music as a Second Language

Our Afternoon Supervision program gives gifted students more than extra practice time — it gives them a community. With the option for concurrent lessons weekly, biweekly, monthly lessons, students stay at OMA to collaborate, create, and explore music in a fun, play-based setting.

Here, learning goes beyond note awareness. Students strengthen fluency, sharpen reading skills and broaden their technique, all while growing together through teamwork and peer collaboration. It’s the ideal way to extend the OMA experience and keep the joy of music alive all afternoon.

Audition Band Coaching

Our auditioned bands bring together passionate young musicians ready to take their skills to the next level. Students selected for these ensembles dive into exciting repertoire, sharpen their technique, and explore the art of songwriting as a group.

From co-writing original music to reimagining classics, students learn to express their voices while collaborating with bandmates.

 

Regular rehearsals build not only stage presence and musicianship but also leadership and teamwork skills.

Being part of an auditioned band at OMA means more than just performing — it’s about creating, connecting, and sharing music that’s uniquely your own with the community.

Each camp is a crash-course in ensemble playing, technique, chords, improvisation, and melody.
Students study beginning Ukulele, Piano, Drums and other Modern Band Instruments.
Students with experience will discover ways to play they never thought possible! 
Advance Band Track for students with prior knowledge and familiarity with Melody, Harmony, and Technique

Daily Camp Schedule includes

Choice Time, Snacks, Group games, Small Group Rotations for Ukulele,  Piano and Drum study,  Midday Park Lunchbreak, Activites, Artwork
