Meet the Quartet

“From now on, you’ll never see one of those men without the other three.”
- Professor Harold Hill The Music Man

'Steam' is a barbershop quartet that formed in the fall of 2023. We love bringing music to our community through the art of acapella harmony & song.

Our Lead Singer is Buck, a team manager at Google who has been singing for decades and sings in the Gospel Choir at Saint Patricks Church in Oakland. He brings a passion for connection and the beauty of vocal music.

Our Bass is Kiely, an events manager at Google, and recreational hobbyist. He has sung in many acapella and accompanied ensembles as well as with his family through the holidays. Kiely brings an unparalled enthusiasm for creativity, collaboration, and harmony.

Our Baritone is Joseph is the owner of Ozzy's Music Academy in Alameda. He directs and leads programs at the Academy which is based at Trinity Lutheran Church. He also teaches and volunteers at local Alameda and Oakland Schools and Arts Organizations. He brings a passion for the lifelong journey of music making.

Our Tenor is Conway, a musical director and professional pianist. He currently serves as the director of education for Cantare Con Vivo, one of the largest music education nonprofits in the East Bay, serving thousands of students in music enrichment and youth choirs. Conway brings an appreciation for global music cultures and practices to the ensemble and greater work he does.

We are excited to share our love of music with your and your loved one this holiday season. Please choose take a look at available times on our booking page above.
